Ich habe in letzter Zeit Musik aus bestimmten Jahren gehört. Genau genommen habe ich mir die Liste der Alben angesehen bzw. angehört, die in einem jeweiligen Jahr erschienen sind. Besonders in den Jahren 1971, 1978, 1984 und 1993 passierte einiges.
1984
Jetzt nehme ich mir das Jahr 1984 vor. Ich werde die ganzen Alben chronologisch durchhören. Auffällig ist jetzt schon, dass die Stile sich aufspalten bis hin zu einzelnen Gruppen und Künstlern. Zwar war auch schon Bowie stilprägend, aber mit den Musikinstrumenten und Produktionen war in den 80ern mehr möglich. Was vorher noch aufwändig und neu war, floss jetzt in Pop-Produktionen ein.
Vielleicht empfinde ich das aber auch nur so, weil es meine Geschichte spiegelt. Vor den Achtzigern konnte man noch alles parallel hören. Die Jugengkultur trennte sich in wenige große Gruppen. Danach spalteten sich immer mehr kleine Gruppen ab. Jedes Jahr kam eine neue Mode und spaltete sich ein neuer Stil ab. So kam es mir vor und wenn ich mir die Liste der Alben ansehe, dann bestätigt sich mein Bild.
Die Produktionen wurden präziser, die Sounds individueller. Künstler entwickelten eigene individuelle Stile, die gab es zwar vorher auch schon, Zappa und Bowie waren unverwechselbar, aber in den Achtzigern höre ich eine durchgehende Individualisierung. Klänge bestimmten zunehmend die Musik mit. Ich glaube, dass man nachweisen könnte, dass die Möglichkeiten der Klangerzeugung deutlich zunahm, nicht nur durch Synthesizer, sondern auch mittels Aufnahmetechniken.
